Why Exuma?

Story Musgrove, six- time space shuttle astronaut, best describes the world famous Bahamas water in his poem "Oh Bahamas"

Of all the Bahamas islands there is no water more beautiful than Great Exuma and the Exuma Cays. The islands are a 120-mile chain of 365 islands located just southeast of the capital of Nassau. The islands are sparsely populated with the majority of the cays being privately owned. Settlements with airstrips in the cays are located on Staniel Cay, Norman's Cay, Great Guana Cay and Little Farmer's Cay. The most populated island with about 4,000 people is Great Exuma which has an international airport that sustains international flights from the US and Canada.

Numerous travel and destination publications have rated and recommended the Exumas including Conde Nast Traveller, Islands Magazine, New York Times and many others. Recently, the island has seen a mini renaissance with upgrades and improvements to small hotels and vacation communities like Grand Isle Resort, Sandals Emerald Bay, Peace & Plenty, February Point and Turquoise Cay to name a few.

Demand for Exuma real estate is at it's highest since 2007/2008 and there are still many good deals on the market. Current trends are showing demand for resort community property like Grand Isle and February Point as well as older beach homes with the potential to buy at a good price and renovate to ones own tastes and interests. In addition to homes and villas we also have a nice inventory of vacant lots and can comfortably recommend service professionals to design and build your dream home.

Exuma real estate is trending up. With the recent capital injection to real estate developments, hotels and private homes this should continue for a while.
